My life anymore revolves around working out. Running especially. Every day I've ran 3 miles and then walked off another 3, however, last week it finally caught up with me and I developed Achilles tendinitis. Basically, my Achilles tendons are tearing each time I run. If not allowed sufficient healing time, they could eventually sever completely, leaving me unable to walk. Running is where my heart is though, so for the past week I've been icing and keeping them elevated and taking ibuprofen to reduce swelling. I also bought two ankle braces and decided today was the day that I would try and run again. With them on, I made it half my route. I couldn't stand them so I walked home, ripped the braces off and then re-ran my entire route. The braces are garbage and I'd rather run without them. Probably not the wisest decision I've made, but I'll see how the swelling is in the morning and go from there. Hopefully I didn't make anything worse. Peace.
